We received a phone call from a very distraught lady this evening, she explained that she was driving down Darnley Road in Strood near number 292 when a cat darted out in front of her car, she tried to stop but it was too late. The lady stopped her car and members of the public helped her move the cat away from the road then she called us straight away.
We attended as soon as we could and checked the cat for a chip, unfortunately the cat isn’t chipped. The cat is female, mainly grey over the top of her body and white underneath she looks approximately 4-6 years old. We have her safe with us and will continue to try and locate her owners.
Thank you to the lady for stopping and caring, we all know that accidents can happen, but it takes a lot of courage to stop and report to someone that can help. Thank you also to the young gentleman that lives along that road for your help this evening also.
